In the past five years, Chris Green has worked for the official websites of three major sporting events.

In 2006, Chris was website content journalist at the Asian Games in Doha, Qatar.

Twelve months later he was invited to be an official tournament journalist at the 2007 World Wushu Championships in Beijing.

Chris’s writing style and sporting knowledge impressed the event’s organisers and the following year he was thrilled to take on the role of senior English editor of the official Beijing 2008 Olympic Games website – www.beijing2008.com

During Chris’s three month stay in China, he was responsible for the day to day running of the most popular sports event website ever.

He also wrote daily event previews and reviews.

The games comprised a staggering 11,000 athletes from 204 countries taking part in 302 events in 28 sports over 16 days at 31 venues.

And Chris and his dedicated team of writers, many of whom were writing in their second language, achieved the following results:
• 2,256 reports
• 96 per cent of reports on time
• Flash reports within three minutes
• Full reports within 30 minutes
• 60 million website hits each day
